The Celebrity Traitors, simulated

Who is banished at the first round table?

The Traitors recruit Amol Rajan or James Acaster on the first night and murder the other, so the first round table plays out in two universes. In each, the 20 players left talk for about 100 turns with a moderator, then each writes one name in private. We ran each universe 20 times.

How does the simulation work?

We built all 21 players of The Celebrity Traitors series 2 as simulated personas from their public profiles. Then we replayed the night the Traitors choose a recruit 100 times, and the first round table 20 times in each of the two ways that night can end, ahead of episode 2, broadcast on 2 October 2026.

Each player is a simulated persona built from public information about the person. Every persona knows the rules of the game and everything up to breakfast on day 2, as the group saw it, including who holds a shield. Only the Traitors know who the Traitors are.

Three saved societies hold the personas. In the first, Maya and Richard deliberate alone, on the night of day 1. In the other two, the night has already ended: Amol is the third Traitor and James was murdered, or the other way round.

The night in the turret is 20 interviews on our persona engine, the same one clients use to interview personas in Artificial Societies, and each final pick is one more. Each round table is one focus group on our focus group engine: the 20 players and a moderator, for about 100 turns. Every vote is then a separate interview, given only that player’s own persona and the round table’s transcript, so no player sees another’s vote. Every run is stored, and the page replays it exactly. Nothing is generated when you load the page.

An AI simulation. Not affiliated with the BBC or the cast. Every player is a simulated persona built from public information, and nothing they say is a statement by the person they are modelled on.
