Artificial Societies is the choice we recommend for strategic communications involving connected audiences; Evidenza AI suits B2B go-to-market planning. Artificial Societies, which models audiences as networks of AI personas, reports 86% distribution accuracy across 1,000 real-world surveys against a 91% human self-replication ceiling in its January 2026 Survey Evaluation Report. Evidenza describes research that becomes a marketing and sales plan. Start with the decision you need to make: rehearsing an earnings call and planning how to sell to a buying committee call for different work (our method; Evidenza’s homepage (opens in a new tab)).

We publish this comparison and sell in this category. Our recommendations draw on published methods and engagements; this page does not report a test of Evidenza’s software.

What does Artificial Societies do for strategic communications?

Artificial Societies helps organisations understand people before making consequential decisions. Artificial Societies’ evidence starts with 86% distribution accuracy across 1,000 real-world surveys, which is 95% of the 91% human self-replication ceiling, in its Survey Evaluation Report, January 2026. Distribution accuracy measures the overlap between simulated and human opinion distributions. It tells you how closely the proportions choosing each answer agree; relationships between answers need separate tests.

Our method begins with observations of real people, including published research and anonymised social data. We reconstruct how individuals reason, validate personas against audience benchmarks and prior behaviour, then connect them through relationships and patterns of influence. You can inspect a population result, compare segments or examine an individual persona’s response.

That approach serves decisions about messages and their reception beyond the first audience. In our hyperscaler earnings-call study, the work covered likely analyst questions, investor reactions to prepared remarks and the story’s movement through the surrounding audience and press. Those are the kinds of decisions our network science method is built to investigate.

What does Evidenza AI do for B2B research?

Evidenza AI describes a route from a target-audience description to a go-to-market plan. Its homepage (opens in a new tab) emphasises hard-to-reach business-to-business buyers, including senior executives and specialist decision-makers. Reaching professional audiences is therefore an overlap between the companies, rather than a reason to dismiss Evidenza from a strategic research discussion.

Evidenza’s published workflow (opens in a new tab) generates synthetic customers based on a product category, runs surveys and real-time interviews, then exports results as a plan. Its FAQ (opens in a new tab) describes personas with personal background details, supplemented by job title, company size and industry. The output matters here: Evidenza presents the research as a basis for sales and marketing planning, with the plan itself part of the product.

Its homepage (opens in a new tab) names Segmentation, Positioning, Creative, Personas, Measurement and Custom Research as deployment modules. A marketing lead can therefore discuss a positioning project or creative scoring in the vendor’s own terms. Evidenza also describes a full-service engagement in which its team conducts the research and brings you the results. That is an offer for a buyer who wants research translated into a marketing plan.

How do Evidenza AI and Artificial Societies compare?

Artificial Societies connects personas built from observed data; Evidenza describes independent synthetic respondents built from an audience description. Both approaches address audiences that are difficult to recruit. The distinction we would use to choose between them is whether you need a B2B marketing plan or a simulation of how strategic communications affect connected groups (our method; Evidenza’s workflow (opens in a new tab)).

Our published engagements with Teneo and the hyperscaler include reports alongside access to the platform. Teneo could explore approval scores and verbatim reactions in the platform, while the hyperscaler’s team could rerun scenarios as its earnings figures changed. Those published deliverables make us worth considering when you expect to interrogate a recommendation or return to the audience, as the Teneo and earnings-call accounts describe.

How accurate are Evidenza AI and Artificial Societies?

Evidenza AI publishes an “88% similarity score”, defined as the average match between synthetic and traditional research, and claims “100+ validation tests” on its homepage (opens in a new tab). The measurement behind the figure is not described in its public materials, as of 17 September 2026. Our distribution-overlap result and Evidenza’s similarity score cannot establish an accuracy ranking between the products.

Evidenza’s FAQ (opens in a new tab) describes comparisons with human panel studies and says: “We are continuing to benchmark the correlation and overlap for different types of market research.” Evidenza’s homepage (opens in a new tab) also cites 26 academic studies as supporting literature. That claim concerns literature supporting the approach, rather than peer review of Evidenza’s product. We found no published peer-reviewed validation of the Evidenza product as of 17 September 2026 (Evidenza’s sitemap (opens in a new tab)).

Our January 2026 Survey Evaluation Report gives you further measures alongside distribution accuracy. It records under 2% self-contradiction, compared with about 9% for human panels, on Artificial Societies’ evaluation page. The label there is hallucination rate, but the test concerns personas contradicting themselves. It does not measure factual errors about the outside world.

The same report records 89% internal coherence against a human-panel range of 60–95%. Its measure, Cronbach’s alpha, tests whether answers to questions about the same underlying attitude agree. That is relevant when you intend to interpret the relationships between opinions, though internal coherence alone cannot establish whether findings hold for real people. Our September 2026 validity framework explains that boundary.

Our September 2026 validity framework also gives you a way to question a proposed study, and how to evaluate a synthetic research vendor covers all eight of its tests. It describes changing the messenger or removing evidence from a claim to test whether responses change for a substantive reason. Reordering answer options should not move the distribution. For a communications team, that makes the evaluation relevant to the message you plan to test: ask us to explain how the design distinguishes persuasion from an artefact of the questionnaire.

Peer review covers the group behaviour: He, Wallis, Gvirtz and Rathje’s December 2024 paper in the British Journal of Psychology (opens in a new tab) supports the network modelling and says nothing about survey accuracy, as the science page explains.

When is Evidenza AI the better choice?

Evidenza AI is the better fit for a B2B go-to-market assignment that needs segmentation, positioning and a plan for reaching the buying committee. Its published offer (opens in a new tab) includes category entry points, creative scoring and a persona library. We would send you to Evidenza for that combination, particularly when your immediate deliverable is a marketing plan.

The marketing-science experience is relevant too. Evidenza’s founder and adviser descriptions (opens in a new tab) connect its founders with LinkedIn’s B2B Institute, and its homepage (opens in a new tab) names advisers including Mark Ritson and Wharton’s Stefano Puntoni. For a marketing-effectiveness assignment, those are credentials worth considering. They give the B2B marketing buyer a reason to speak to Evidenza on the substance of that work.

Evidenza’s full-service offer (opens in a new tab) includes conducting the research and presenting recommendations. We would judge that offer against the plan you need delivered, including which buying roles and positioning questions it must cover. Our own reason to enter the discussion is a strategic decision involving connected audiences, such as the investor and public-affairs work documented in our case studies.

When should you choose Artificial Societies as an Evidenza alternative?

Artificial Societies is an Evidenza alternative for confidential strategy decisions where you need to examine reactions across connected audiences. Our Evidenza alternatives page sets Evidenza AI beside seven other platforms by who each one represents and what it delivers. Artificial Societies’ hyperscaler case study includes a society of 14 sell-side analysts, representing the analysts who had asked questions on the company’s last eight earnings calls. The team could test draft remarks and unreleased numbers against simulated audiences without showing them to real investors.

The company expected its margin reset to dominate the call. Simulated analysts instead focused on demand durability and financing commitments; the case study reports that the live questions followed that pattern. We would use this account to discuss the kind of preparation you need, rather than attach the survey benchmark to an earnings-call prediction.

Public-affairs work offers another concrete example. Our transport-policy case study tested competing narratives with a simulated audience of Washington D.C. opinion leaders, then exposed the audience to damaging coverage. The team identified where its narrative and supporting evidence held up or failed. The client received an advisory report and platform access to examine segment differences and individual reactions.

Teneo’s late-2025 engagement tested six technology narratives across three societies, gathering 189,756 responses, according to Artificial Societies’ Teneo case study. The work identified an overall narrative and adapted messaging for each audience segment.

What data do Evidenza AI and Artificial Societies need?

Artificial Societies starts with diverse observations of the audience. Our method page lists published research, online commentary, reviews and anonymised social data, alongside public records of voting and investment. The observation requirement sets the scope of the work: where those observations do not exist, we would first need research that obtains them. An accuracy result on an observed population cannot establish performance for an unobserved audience.

You can add proprietary first-party data to our persona set. We segregate it by engagement, hold it in the EU and do not use it to train our models, as our method page explains. Bring the audience evidence you already hold to the scoping discussion so the proposed society reflects the information available for your decision.

Evidenza’s FAQ (opens in a new tab) says it needs a description of the target audience and treats past market research as optional. It also says it does not ingest or receive customer data or personally identifiable information. Those published starting points give you a concrete data question to settle with each team before commissioning research.

How long does an Evidenza AI project take?

Evidenza AI advertises “Results in 72 hours” for its full-service offer on its homepage (opens in a new tab). Treat that as the vendor’s service claim and ask what your proposed scope includes. It does not establish a turnaround comparison with a differently designed engagement from us.

Artificial Societies’ earnings-call case study records delivery within 48 hours for the whole engagement. The Teneo study, conducted in late 2025, records less than three weeks, including the construction of its societies. These are project accounts, with different audiences and decisions behind their durations. Use the account closest to your work when discussing a deadline; neither is a universal delivery promise.

How this page was compiled

We publish this comparison using the sources listed at the end of this page: Evidenza’s product pages and FAQs, our method and evaluation materials, our published research and case studies, and third-party lists. The source dates for this comparison are 17 September 2026. We have compared published descriptions, without testing Evidenza’s software or treating unlike accuracy measures as equivalent.

We excluded funding estimates, third-party pricing commentary and inferred claims that Evidenza cannot reach particular audiences. The table applies audience construction, usable outputs and marketing-execution fit to both companies. Naming Evidenza implies no affiliation or endorsement. We believe the information accurate as of 17 September 2026. Please send corrections to support@societies.ai.

Frequently asked questions

Where can you compare Evidenza alternatives side by side?

Artificial Societies publishes Evidenza alternatives: 8 platforms compared, which sorts the options by who you need to persuade: a B2B buying committee, a consumer market, or the investors, officials and employees who react to a decision. This page stays a two-way comparison. For a strategic-communications decision, the method page explains how an audience is built and what you receive.

Can you use Evidenza AI as self-service software?

Evidenza’s homepage (opens in a new tab) describes a self-service option, but marks it “Coming soon” and offers a waitlist. Confirm availability with Evidenza before planning around that access model. The published alternative is full service: Evidenza conducts the research and brings you the results, rather than requiring you to run it yourself.

Can you reuse an Artificial Societies audience next quarter?

Our hyperscaler earnings-call study describes standing societies that were ready for the next quarter. The client could rerun scenarios and retest its script as the figures changed. If repeated earnings preparation is your requirement, discuss that continuing access when defining the engagement, with the published study as the example.

Does Artificial Societies test product concepts?

Artificial Societies’ consumer-goods case study describes testing five concepts with 1,498 simulated health-conscious consumers and selecting two for further iteration. The research used a randomised controlled trial, then explored names and features. Each survey question requested a verbatim reason for the choice, so the team could inspect the reasoning behind the result.

Should synthetic research replace conversations with real buyers?

We use simulation to test decisions before acting, while keeping human research in the discussion. Our September 2026 evaluation essay states that synthetic audiences cannot be a true substitute for the people they represent. It also explains the gap between stated intentions and behaviour: an answer about a purchase remains different from an observed purchase.
